How long does a mural take to complete?
Every mural is different, but most are completed in 7-10 days depending on the size, level of detail, and surface prep needed. Large-scale or multi-wall projects may take longer, but we’ll always discuss timelines up front so there are no surprises.
What if we don’t move forward after the design phase?
That’s completely okay—this process is designed to be low pressure from the start. I offer a Rendering-First, Commitment-Second Guarantee: after our discovery call, you’ll pay a one-time design fee for a custom mural rendering. If the design doesn’t get approval or just doesn’t feel like the right fit, there’s no obligation to continue. You walk away with original artwork and complete peace of mind—no strings attached. This allows you to explore your mural vision without pressure, knowing you’re only committing once everything feels just right.
How long have you been painting murals?
I’ve been painting murals professionally for over a decade, and every one is a little different—which is part of the joy! From corporate spaces to community centers, each project reflects the heart of the people who use the space.
Do you work for the company, or are you independent?
I’m an independent mural artist and founder of CarrieJOY. Companies, churches, and communities hire me directly to design and paint custom artwork that aligns with their vision and values.
Do you have a picture of what the mural will look like?
Yes! Before painting begins, I create a custom digital rendering of your mural concept. This gives you a clear idea of the design, colors, and layout. It’s a collaborative part of the process—you’ll have a chance to give feedback and approve the final concept before the first brushstroke goes on the wall.
Are you getting paid to paint that?
Yes—I’m honored to do this work professionally! Each project is a collaboration with the organization or business who commissioned it. If you’re curious about bringing a mural to your own space, I’d love to chat.
How much does a mural like this cost?
Mural pricing depends on size, complexity, wall surface, and location. Because I’m usually hired by the organization, I don’t discuss rates on-site out of respect for their process. If you’re interested in commissioning a mural, I’m happy to provide a custom quote—just fill out the inquiry form.
Can you put my face in the mural?
Only if you’re ready to be mural-famous! (Kidding… unless you’re serious.)
While most murals don’t feature individual portraits, I do love incorporating local culture, team stories, and personal touches—so who knows what might make it in?
